Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Spray

I love Soap & Glory products. I love their make up and their bath/shower products. The products are great, the packaging is great and the brand is just a fun brand over all.

One range they have is called Sugar Crush. Sugar Crush is an extremely sweet smell with vanilla musk, sweet lime, ginger and essential lemon oil. To me it smells strongly of sugary lemon and reminds me of a cross between Lush sugar lip scrubs and lime. I would hazard a guess that the scent is one of those scents that you love or you hate. If you have a sweet tooth I would definitely recommend the scent but if you don't then you might find it far too sickly! I personally love the scent and think it's perfect for a bright summer's day.

The packaging of the body spray is also nice. It is in a tall, pink bottle with a picture of a lovely looking lady holding a lime; the typical style you expect from Soap & Glory products. You get 100ml of product and is £4.00 which I think is a fairly reasonable price.

My downfall with the body spray is that I don't really find it lasts at all. In my experience the smell doesn't linger on my skin for long and I'm pretty sure it is gone by half an hour. Because of this I do like to ensure I use perfume on my neck and wrists so I know I smell nice. It's nice to freshen up with as it's such a fun, sweet smell and could easily be carried around in a handbag to top up during the day but because the smell doesn't last whatsoever I won't be repurchasing this. I don't expect major long lasting power from body sprays but I do expect them to actually make me smell nice after the process of spraying it!

Do you love or hate the Sugar Crush scent?

Skincare | My Body Scrubs Collection

Last week I shared with you my face mask collection. Today, I thought I would show you my, slightly larger, body scrub collection. The main time I like to use body scrubs is before I shave to exfoliate the dead skin cells and allow a closer and cleaner shave.

  • The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Body Polish- I like the smell of this as it really does smell like vanilla. The body polishes are in quite large bottles so will probably last a long time.

  • The Body Shop Cranberry Body Polish- I believe this was a Christmas limited edition one that I am still yet to use! I don't normally eat cranberries or have them in the house but I do like the smell.

  • The Body Shop Strawberry Body Polish- I sometimes have an issue with strawberry scented products because a lot of time I find they smell really fake and synthetic. However, this one does not smell synthetic to me and I really like it!

  • The Body Shop British Rose Scrub Sample- This is a sample of the British Rose Scrub which was brought out for Mother's Day this year. I had a hand massage done with the range and the scrub really did make my hands feel soft so I'm looking forward to using my sample. I'm going on holiday so will probably bring it with me!

  • The Body Shop Coconut Body Scrub x2- I've got two of these (one in the picture and one in my shower) as I specifically asked for it for Christmas. Like the cranberry one I don't ever eat coconut but enjoy the smell. I also particularly like this scrub as it's thick and creamy. I would recommend it for sensitive and/or dry skin.

  • Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub- The only non-The Body Shop product! I recently spoke about the body spray of this but I've also got the scrub. Because of the sugary lime smell I bet this would be invigorating for a morning shower and feel nice on a hot, stuffy day.

I should probably also mention the difference between The Body Shop body polishes and body scrubs. The body polishes are in the form of a shower gel as well so foam up like a shower gel. They are more gentle than the body scrubs because they're literally scrubs and not gels.

What body scrubs do you like?

Boots Haul | Make Up & Holiday Necessities

Hello!

The other day I made a trip to my local Boots store with my Mum to replenish some make up items and stock up for my upcoming holiday. I spent a little bit more money than I ideally wanted to but it was worth it!

  • Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive Day Cream SPF 15-

I'm going on holiday in about a week's time and I needed a SPF for my face. I'm really picky about what SPF I will put on my face as some can cause me to break out. Most years I stick to Nivea, and this year I decided to go for a sensitive skin one. I have sensitive skin and this cream also claims to help redness, which I have a lot of, so I am looking forward to trying this.

  • Tresemme Freeze Hold Hairspray 100ml-

Another item for going on holiday is this smaller sized version of hairspray. I have always used Tresemme hairspray so I got a smaller bottle to take on holiday. It's good because it is 100ml which is the amount of liquid you can take on a plane.

  • L'Oreal Infallible 24hr Matte Foundation [Rose Beige]-

As the bad beauty blogger I am, I've always only used the same foundation. However, I'm finding more and more lately that the foundation that I use isn't really suitable to my skin type now which is kind of dry. I have been seeing so many good reviews over the past few months on this foundation so I have been dying to try it. I always want a good coverage matte foundation so hopefully this will do the trick. I used to always use the L'Oreal Infallible eyeliner in my high school days so I have high standards for this!

  • Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer [02 Cool Medium & 03 Warm Medium]-

This is my holy grail concealer and when I decided to change foundation I just couldn't convince myself to change concealer. I couldn't decide which colour would go better with my new foundation so I bought both 02 and 03 shades to try with it. Before that, I always used 03. I adore this concealer and it is certainly the concealer I recommend for anyone who suffers with acne, redness and scarring like I do.

  • Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen-

My eyeliner (which is this one) is currently on its last legs so I thought I better buy a new one! I'm usually more flexible when it comes to liquid eyeliners and trying new ones but this time I decided to stick with something I know that works for me. I love doing winged eyeliner and this is my favourite liquid eyeliner to do that. What more can I say?

  • Eylure Pro-Lash Individuals [Short, Medium & Long Length]-

Again, as the bad beauty blogger I am, I have never used false eyelashes. I've been wanting to for ages but always convinced myself I would be crap at applying them. However, then I think back to the days where I struggled with mascara and eyeliner- now look at me! But the reason I finally decided to get eyelashes was because I recently had an eye infection which meant I lost a large amount of eyelashes. It's to the point where I look like I don't have many eyelashes and they're super gappy so I decided to try my hand at individual lashes. Hopefully they will bring me more confidence with my eyelashes and totally change my eye make up!

  • Carex Aloe Vera Refreshing Hand Gel-

If I had a pound for every time I have been out and wished I had some antibatcerial hand gel to use then I would be rich. My main reason to buy this was so I could take it on holiday with me in case I needed it but this will go straight in my handbag afterwards. I also find that I get ill a hell of a lot so I am hoping if I use this outside more I might find myself getting ill less.

  • Boots Travel Bottles-

I didn't take a photo of these but I bought two travel bottles to put some of my usual Tresemme Colour Fade Protection Shampoo & Conditioner in for when I go away. I usually save smaller bottles from other products to use as travel bottles but I still needed another 2. I couldn't find a travel sized version of the shampoo and conditioner I like and I am too smitten with them to buy anything else!

So that's it! Have you used any of these items? Let me know!

Soap & Glory Heel Genius

I've never bought a foot product to use before, so there's always a first for everything!

This is the Soap & Glory (a brand favourite) Heel Genius foot cream. As the name suggests, it is a cream that you use on your feet to moisturise them, making an end to hard skin on feet and replacing it with soft, smooth feet. The cream is pastel green in colour and has a smell to it I can't quite put my finger (or toe) on. The ingredients include various citrus extracts, however it does not smell citrusy. It has a sort of standard perfume smell to it with a hint of something else that I can't think of. I can't say it is an entirely pleasant smell, but it isn't entirely an unpleasant smell either.

The product suggests that you massage a generous amount of cream into your feet nightly, then put on cotton socks over top to wear during the night. You will then wake up with beautifully moisturised feet! Admittedly, I don't think about looking after my feet that much, let alone daily. Furthermore, although I know it is an amazing beauty hack wearing cotton socks or gloves to bed after moisturising, I really don't like the feeling of wearing them to bed covered in cream. So what I like to do instead is just use the product whenever I remember to (which is probably about once or twice a month), and just put it on whenever and then relax with my feet up for a while otherwise I would be sliding around everywhere with slippery feet!

Apart from my laziness when using the product, I can't complain about this. When you rub it into your feet it takes a while to soak in but when it does you immediately see results. Your feet are instantly nourished and soft, making me feel less guilty about not using it often. I've never known my feet softer than when I use this.

So yes, overall I do like this product. I'm not someone who overall cares about looking after their feet but I like to use this before I go on holiday or if I am simply having a thorough pampering session. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who wants to care for their feet a bit more, especially for people who like me would forget to use it frequently. It does what it claims to do with immediate effect. Horaay!

What is your favourite product for caring for your feet? Let me know!

June Favourites

Hey guys!

June, June June...It has gone so quickly for me! The beginning was slow because I was doing exams and it felt like time was passing by at a snail pace but afterwards it began to whizz by!

My first favourite of June is the Amphora Aromatic Seaweed & Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel. I have enjoyed using this on my tired eyes and to remove my make up. To read my review on it, click here.

My second favourite is the Benefit the POREfessional License to Blot. As you can see, I was lucky enough to recieve a sample size of their new POREfessional product and a review will be coming VERY soon.

Thirdly is my Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint and Precision Pencil. I have been using this for a while but I've been using it a lot this month to go for a natural look when I am only doing a few chores and don't want a full on make up look. A review will be coming soon!

Lastly we have my new Primark pyjama shorts. I picked them up because it has been getting very hot in the UK lately and I didn't have any pyjama shorts, only fleecy pyjama trousers. I knew Primark was great for pyjamas so I picked up these leopard print ones for £2.50.

And that's it! What were your favourites in June?

Empties #2

Hello!

I finished a few products recently so I thought I would share them with you. This is only my second Empties post- to see my first one, click here!

  1. The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Wash- This is my holy grail face wash that I have gotten through numerous bottles of. I love this face wash as it works wonders for my acne prone skin and I've got plenty of back ups!
  2. Neutrogena Visibly Clear Grapefruit Moisturiser- Another holy grail product for me. I love this moisturiser as again, it does wonders for my acne prone skin. It also smells beautiful and doesn't take long to sink in so you don't have to wait ages to apply your make up. To read my review of it, click here.
  3. Carmex Lip Balm- I used to be so attached to this lip balm and wouldn't try anything else but now I have allowed myself to try some other lip balms. This is absolutely great for your lips and gets rid of chapped lips quickly. I have been through many of these and will probably buy another in the future. To read my review of it, click here.
  4. Soap & Glory The Scrub of Your Life Body Scrub- I always use this scrub in the shower before I shave and it works super well. I will use other body scrubs I have after this but if I ran out of body scrubs I wouldn't hesitate to repurchase this. I have been using this since August so it has lasted quite a long time! To read my review of it, click here.

What products have you finished so far this year? Let me know!

Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen

Hey!

For ages I was dying to try out the Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen so when I had a Boots voucher I knew what I wanted to buy with it.

To begin with, I love the packaging. It came in a cardboard tube that explained it was a carbon black extreme eyeliner pen with a foolproof maker tip. The packaging is so nice and coordinated in famous Soap & Glory style.

I find this eyeliner fairly easy to use. It was difficult to get used to at first as I am used to using super thin eyeliner pens as opposed to this marker tip but I really do like it. I can do winged eyeliner super easy and quickly with this tip without dragging or skipping and it is long-lasting on the eyes. I have had eyeliners before where they have smudged above my eye but this is smudge-proof. The only bad point I can really make about this eyeliner is that it smells exactly like Sharpies! It doesn't smell when you have it on your skin but when you take the lid off you are greeted by a strong Sharpie ink-like smell. I'd say this eyeliner is probably best for those of you who like to go thick with your eyeliner and like a thick cat eye but it is also possibly for a thinner line.

The price is really good also at only £6.00. Definitely worth it and I will certainly repurchase this. I would also buy it as a present for a make up lover which I actually already have done!

Have you used this eyeliner? What do you think of it? Let me know!

Current Scrub: Soap&Glory The Scrub of Your Life

Hello!

Currently, I am using Soap&Glory The Scrub of Your Life as my body scrub. I like to use it at least twice a week, specifically just before shaving.

On the most part, I like this scrub. There is a lot in there, you don't have to use a lot and it does the job well of removing dead skin. As I said above I like to use it before I shave and I believe it helps give a better shave and prevents ingrown hairs. Furthermore I have found that I get a lot less dry skin on my arms now than I used to.

The exfoliant particles are also pink in colour which match the colour of the packaging; making it one of those small minor things that make the product even nicer.

The only problem for me really is the smell. I know the scrub doesn't claim to have a particular scent or anything but it just isn't overall pleasant. I am not saying it is unbearable or that it smells really badly, I am just saying the smell isn't super appealing. However this is only a little fault that I can find with the scrub which is really good as a review goes.

Overall I like this scrub and I will continue using it. I probably won't buy it again as I would like to try other scrubs and I have already got an ultimate favourite (Scrub Scrub Scrub from Lush) but if I was running out of products to try I'd definitely buy it again. I would also buy it for a gift for someone.

Have you used it? What do you think? Let me know!
