Barry M Nail Art Pens Review!

Hello BumbleBeas :-)

Today I wanted to do a quick review for you on the Barry M nail art pens which I currently have in black and pink as a Christmas presents from my mother.

I love these pens! They're great for people who are beginners with nail art and want to get some practice in. Also, as someone who gets shaky hands, I find it really easy to control and do some fine lines with. What's great is that the tip is just like a pen so when you're doing the art you feel comfortable with it as it is just like using a normal day to day writing pen!

Here is some random doodling I did on my nails with the black nail art pen:

I highly recommend these nail art pens and I definitely will use them often and want more. Good on you, Barry M!

Do you own any of these nail art pens? What do you think of them? Let me know!

Too Much Balm for my Lips!

Hello BumbleBeas!

I think people are trying to tell me something. Are my lips really that bad?

But in all seriousness, before Christmas I started with two lip balms and now I've ended up with 9! Which, for someone who was never really that bothered about lip balm, is quite a lot! I only ever used the one lip balm at a time of my usual drug store one but now I have quite the variety.
  1. The Body Shop: Vanilla Bliss

This is such a lovely lip balm which I probably wouldn't have bought otherwise but glad I have it! I never normally buy vanilla scented products but this smells so good I want to eat it! Furthermore the shape of the lip balm is such a convenient idea that makes applying lip balm much easier. With someone who has long nails, dipping my finger in to lip balm pots can be quite annoying. But because of the shape of this lip balm I can apply it easily to my lips without mess!

2. The Body Shop: Wild Cherry
This lip balm has a very strong cherry smell which is on the edge of too strong for me but it's just alright for me to like. As you can see I haven't really used it yet but from what I have used it seems like a decent enough lip balm. I personally wouldn't buy it again after I finish this one as it didn't 'wow' me or anything but it was a nice enough gift to receive.

3. The Body Shop: Beurre A Levres: Mango

The first thing I thought about this lip balm was that it reminded me exactly of Hubba Bubba bubblegum? Anybody remember those? They were childhood. However, this is quite a nice lip balm which by looking at it I didn't think it was going to be that great but I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't used this lip balm yet so I cannot judge how good it is but it would definitely make a nice present for friends!

4. The Body Shop: Beurre A Levres: Shea Butter
This lip balm smells quite 'nutty' which I am not so sure about as I am not a big fan of nuts but it is a nice gift all the same. I haven't properly used it so I cannot judge it but it seems quite moisturising.

5. Born Lippy: Passionberry Passion Fruits
As you can see I have used this lip balm quite a few times so unlike the others I can actually validly review it! I absolutely love the smell; it is one of those smells you want to sit and stick your nose in all day long. It reminds me of bubblegum which I love. However, I disappointingly find that it doesn't seem to moisturise my lips at all.

6. Classic Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm
This is my ultimate go to lip balm which I have used for two years now. It isn't tinted or anything, just a simple lip balm. But my god, it is good for your lips. It is very moisturising and soaks in nicely. It is really good for badly chapped lips and does exactly what it says on the tin. In addition it can last absolute months even when you use it daily like I do. Highly recommended.

7. Baby Lips: Cherry
My favourite baby lips ever! This is my go to lip balm when I haven't got time to do my red lipstick as this gives a lovely red tint which is noticeable. It is moisturising, easy to apply and goes well in my pocket. The smell is a nice cherry smell that is not too overwhelming. I take it everywhere and will buy another one when this one runs out.

8. Baby Lips: Pink Punch
This has another nice smell which smells just like punch and again is very moisturising. This has a pretty pink tint which is visible which for others may be nice but for someone like me who doesn't suit pink lips at all it wasn't for me. However I still do use it and when I do I put a bit on and just blend it in to my lips so the colour spreads and isn't too vivid. Still recommend it though!

9. Baby Lips: Peach Kiss
We have our final lip balm. It isn't tinted like the other two I just shown you but smells nice and peachy. Like the rest of the baby lips collection it is moisturising and a very lovely item to keep in your bag. I think the Baby Lips collection are all perfect and I want to collect them all!

There we have it! This post took me 5 days to write so I hope you enjoyed it. What is your favourite lip balm? Have you used any of these? Let me know!

Drugstore Boots Haul + New Shirt!

Hello BumbleBeas!

I picked up some new stuff from Boots on Saturday when I went shopping with my Mum and sister and was also treated to a new item of clothing from New Look by my mother. I'd like to share them with you!

From left: Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Moisturiser by Neutrogena, Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream, Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser, Babylips Cherry and Babylips Peaches

1. Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Moisturiser by Neutrogena

This is my usual moisturiser which I love! I had ran out of my previous one so I quickly went to the shop and bought another one! The smell is absolutely amazing which I have never experienced from a moisturiser before. It is oil-free so is really good for those who suffer from acne and sinks in quickly after use. I highly recommend it!

2. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser
I have not used this product before as it is *new* and I haven't tried it yet so I cannot possibly tell you how good or bad it is. However, I forever love babylips so I have high standards for this Baby Skin one! The packaging looks lovely and I look forward to trying it out.

3. Babylips Cherry and Babylips Peaches

I LOVELOVELOVE babylips! They have such fantastic packaging that instantly reels you in and I am delighted to say they never fail me. I had used the cherry one previously (the one in the orange packaging) and it is by far my favourite out of all of them. It smells great and gives you a red tint to your lips which I am grateful for when I don't have time to do my red lipstick in the mornings as I can easily put this on in the car. The peaches one I've never used before but I have tried it and again it smells great and is very moisturising but doesn't leave a tint! I also have the Pink Punch one from a while ago which gives your lips a pink tint and is by far my favourite smell. I will definitely do a Babylips post one day.

4. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream
I had never tried this product before but when Maybelline was on offer in Boots I couldn't refuse. I never wear foundation and just concealer where I want it so this was an unusual buy for me even though this is more of a moisturising tinted cream than foundation. When I like to wear my concealer I don't like it to be obvious I wear it so because of this being known for looking like you're not wearing make up I wanted to try it. After using it, I wouldn't ever use it by itself as it doesn't cover up spots/red scarring at all BUT it will make a nice base to go underneath my concealer and make my skin have a smoother complex.

and FINALLY! Here is the shirt my mother treated me to from New Look:

It is a plain black shirt/blouse thing with a collar that would go great with necklaces to go underneath the collar and some leggings. I wanted it so I can wear it to sixth form and (if!) I get a job any time soon it'll be usual. I am sorry the photo isn't very good quality but I am sure you can imagine what it looks like properly haha. It was only £12 too!

and that is it! Thanks for reading! Have you used any of those products and if so what do you think of them? Let me know!

My Favourite Apps- The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Hello BumbleBeas!

I have decided that every so often I will talk to you about an app I am really in to at the moment and recommend it for you to give it a go.

The first app I will be discussing is The Simpsons: Tapped Out game. It is seriously addictive! I am to that point where I will count how many hours in  between different events in my day there is so I can schedule the game around my life. Sad, huh?

Basically, you can build your own Springfield. You unlock many characters and do many quests and such to earn money and experience points. You can build houses, other well known buildings in Springfield such as Springfield Elementary and so on. The great thing about this game is that it isn't serious and comes with the usual Simpsons humour and inside jokes.

For each character you unlock, they come with various tasks they do that last different amounts of time. The higher the length of time a task is, the more money and experience points you get. The experience points help you level up!

In addition you can also add your friends on there so you can see their Springfields and do things such as graffitting their buildings! You naughty delinquent.

As of now I am currently at level 20. Yup, told you I was obsessing over it.

I love this game and I certainly recommend it to everyone!

Do you play it already? What level are you on? Are you going to try it out now? Let me know!

20 Facts About Me for 20 Followers!

Hello BumbleBeas!

Now call me a sad newbie, but I just hit 20 followers and I am highly excited about it! Thank you so much! My unoriginal mind then decided I'd list 20 facts about me to with the amount of followers in which probably nobody cares about...but nevertheless, I am going to do it anyway. So let's begin! :)

  1. I have been a dancer for 12/13 years- I began baby ballet and kept it going right until I was 14 when I reached grade 6. I also started tap dancing when I was 7 years old and even now I still do it and have done a few competitions in my time. I'm at the intermediate level. What makes me confused is why on earth aren't I flexible and physically fit after all that time?!
  2. 2 Years Vegetarian- About exactly two years ago I decided meat wasn't for me. Best decision I made for myself personally!
  3. I'm A Cat Person- My favourite animal has to be cats. I love them and my best friend has always been my furry little friend. Crazy cat lady one day, maybe?
  4. I Also Have Reptiles- 2 crested geckos in fact. They live at my Dads house and we also breed them and sell the babies. Sounds weird, right? Still a cat lady though.
  5. Read, Read, Read- Big fan of reading! I've always been reading one book after another and they never fail to mess with my feelings. The Fault in Our Stars, City of Bones and Divergent anyone??? You know what I'm talking about.
  6. Fan fiction- My guilty pleasure- When the characters in books aren't enough for me or the ending isn't good enough I result to the power of fan fiction to fulfil my needs. Or to read about YouTubers, actually.
  7. Endless Lists- I need to make lists about everything about whether it's for a daily schedule, a to do list or even just a list of things I need to think about. If I don't make an organised list about something I will freak out and feel like I'm misjudging and forgetting everything. Even if my mother asks me to cook I need her to write me out a detailed list of instructions.
  8. I Don't Do Plain- Everything I own clothes wise and such as to be weird and wonderful. I do not own one pair of plain black leggings, all my leggings have to have something on them. If I ever have to resort to looking plain I do not feel myself one bit!
  9. Studs and Spikes- I would quite happily have them in everything I own. Crazy studs and spikes are my kind of thinking!
  10. Gotta Catch 'Em All- Big fan of Pokemon. One of my favourite things to paint on my nails pokeballs and I have squirtle and charamander on my wall. Where is my Pokedex again?
  11. The Baby- I am the youngest out of my four sisters and brother. Big family, yes? Christmas can be highly annoying buying for them all.
  12. Auntie Bea- 6 months ago I became an Auntie to my beautiful little niece Lisa-Mae. I am a proud Auntie and love spending time with her. She was the best thing about 2013. Aww!
  13. Too Long- Random one to mention but when I was a child I had hair down to my bum and could wrap my hair twice round my neck for the winter. That's a lot of hair!
  14. A Levels- I am currently studying Law, Psychology, Sociology and English Language in sixth form and it is the most stressful experience. Why did I choose them, whyyyyy?
  15. University Plans- I'm not 100% sold on University but I know I should. Confusing!
  16. Gap Year- Before I go to Uni I want to have a gap year first. I really need a break from the stress that is making me ill and get a job and do some charity work. I really need it!
  17. Career- Since I was barely a teenager I've wanted to work within psychology and work with mental health for teenagers. Ideally I'd like to work in a mental health unit for teens somewhere. Mental health has always been something I'm interested in and I will be damned if I don't peruse it.
  18. Anxiety- The not so lovely thing about me is that I have anxiety disorder and it bloody sucks. Enough said.
  19. I Don't Do Romance- I hate romance. If anyone was to ever buy me flowers and take me to a candlelit dinner for two quite frankly I'd puke on them. Sorry!
  20. I Love To Have An Opinion- Whether this is a good or bad thing, I always like to have a well researched and informed opinion and don't mind debating it. I don't enjoy being unsure about a topic and like to do research on either side to add to my knowledge and come to my own decision. Some like to say I make a very valid point and others like to think I'm stubborn. You'll have to make your own decision on that.

So that's it! Sorry for boring you with my life. But thank you if you read it the whole way through!

I appreciate you all.

Crocodile Nails

Hello BumbleBeas!

I painted my nails yesterday so I thought I'd share with you my design and how I did it.

~You'll Need:

  • A green nail varnish (I used NEONnails no. 15)
  • BarryM Croc Nail Effects
  • A base coat/top coat (I used  L'oreal 2-in-1 protect)
  1. Apply your base coat and let it dry.
2. Paint on your green nail varnish. For me I painted them once, let it slightly dry then added a second coat to make it more of a solid green. According to the BarryM Croc Nail Effects instructions, you should let your chosen colour dry for 1 to 2 minutes so that they are touch dry but NOT COMPLETELY DRY POLISH. This is so it allows the nail effect varnish to work to its full effect.
3. After waiting 1 to 2 minutes (I timed 2 minutes), add a 'thin coat' of the Croc nail effects polish over the green. It will then take the Croc effect about 3 minutes to appear.

4. Apply top coat to add shine and to protect your nail art
And there you have it! There is my crocodile nails. What do you think? Have you used any of the BarryM nail effects nail varnishes? Let me know!

Until next time!

Lush Cosmetics: Bath Bomb: Phoenix Rising: Review

Product: Phoenix Rising Bath Bomb from Lush
Who Would I Buy It For? Myself or for a friend as a treat for any occasion.
Rating: 8/10
Would I Buy It Again? Yes, it is likely.
Wow! This bath bomb is definitely up there in my top favourites. This bath bomb fizzes out slowly, releasing purpley colours. It also caused streaks of white in the water which looked quite pretty. There was also some green in the middle, however that didn't make much difference to the water.
When the bath bomb had finished fizzing it was just left with the outside carcass of the bath bomb as you can see from the photo above, which I found slightly annoying. However I quickly took care of this by crushing it up in to little bits and mixing it around the bath.
As you can also see there was a lot of gold glitter which I really liked and thought went with the colour nicely. The smell overall was wonderful and even the member of staff in Lush commented on its sublime smell.

So why didn’t I give it a ten out of ten if I loved it so much? Well, when I finished my bath an hour later it had left reddy pink staining all over my tub, plug and bath mat. Despite my scrubbing at them it still wouldn’t come off! So, I had to get the bath cleaner out and go round it all scrubbing. That’s not how I wanted to spend my time after a lovely relaxing bath but it had to be done.

(this review was written about a year ago on my old tumblr account)

Bomb Cosmetics Wishlist

Hello BumbleBeas!

So the other day, thanks to Blogger, I discovered the wonderful website that is www.bombcosmetics.co.uk

If you're a huge fan of Lush, like I am, then you'll definitely like this website! I have never bought anything from here before so I don't know how they compare to the quality of Lush's stuff, but everything definitely looks much nicer! (Sorry Lush!)

Unfortunately at the moment I don't have any money for spending, but as soon as I do I shall be right on this website! I think everything is very reasonably priced considering how decorated and amazing they all look. They're so pretty you wouldn't even want to use them!

I have compiled together a wishlist for when I buy my first stuff from there to show you:

What do you think? Have you ever bought anything from here before? If so, what did you get? Let me know!
