Empties #10

Woah, we are on empties #10 already! In empties #9 I discussed hair products I had used. In today's empties we are talking mostly skincare...

  • BD Eyebrow and Eyelash Brush- I thought I would include this because it was one of the first brushes I had ever bought and have probably had it for about 3/4 years. But now it is to be put to rest because it has snapped! I've now replaced it with a Boots one. You've served me well.

  • Talika Photo-Hydra Day Facial Moisturiser- I'll probably review this soon but this moisturiser brings a mixed bag of emotions. I got it in a Glossybox last year and there are good points and bad points to it. To be continued...

  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Gel- I love and adore The Body Shop's tea tree range. This blemish gel doesn't last very long but it's good to use when you have an annoying spot come up you just want to get rid off!

Thanks for reading! Until next month...

Real Techniques: Expert Face Brush Review!

Hello Bumblebeas!

I have been so excited to review this! This is the Expert Face Brush by Real Techniques (Pixiewoo)
It cost me £9.99 in Boots and it was 100% worth it!

I have only started using make up brushes very recently, but they were standard ones from make up gift sets. I had been looking at the Real Techniques ones for a while wondering if I should go for it and finally I bit the bullet and did it!

First of all, the brush looks fantastic! It is designed very nicely and I actually keep it on display rather than in a pot with the rest of my brushes as it looks way too nice to hide. It feels nice in the hands and it stands up really well by itself.

I use this brush to apply my foundation. I simply squirt a bit of foundation on the back of my hand, dip this brush in to it and apply away!

What is fantastic about this brush is that it is super easy to use and is AMAZING at blending! Not once have I got streaks through my make up or made myself orange.

Furthermore the brush feels great and is easy to clean with no hairs coming out of it.

It makes me like doing my make up a bit more and I find it absolutely fantastic. I am overall very glad I bought it and will definitely be investigating the rest of the collection. I have already recommended it to my sister and Mum!

PROS:
  • Easy to use
  • Looks fantastic!
  • Soft and sturdy brushes
  • Really good at blending
  • Doesn't leave streaks
  • Stands up by itself

CONS:
  • £9.99 can be a bit much to spend if you're not entirely sure you want it/will use it

10/10!

What do you think? Do you use any of the Real Techniques brushes? What do you like about them? Let me know!
