Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette
Hey!
My birthday was in April and I decided to gift the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance to myself as a treat. I have been lusting over the palette since it first made the rounds in blogs and YouTube, but I was put off at the price (£41.00). But let me tell you now, it was so, so worth it!
The packaging is luxurious with a pink velvet lid and a long mirror on the inside. The shadows are a nice square shape; easy to dip your brush in to. The palette features 14 eyeshadow colours: 11 mattes and 3 metallics. It also comes with a double-ended brush which is actually nice and not one of those flimsy brushes some palettes come with.
Below is a close up of the eyeshadows. In addition I will also insert two swatch photos- the top row and the bottom row, left to right, as well as my opinions on each colour.

Below is a close up of the eyeshadows. In addition I will also insert two swatch photos- the top row and the bottom row, left to right, as well as my opinions on each colour.
Top Row
- Tempera- (Matte, Beige). A lovely brightening colour which I like in my inner-corner.
- Golden Ochre- (Matte, Earth-Toned Yellow). A unique colour I've used as my lid base and an easy crease colour. I haven't seen this in other palettes.
- Vermeer- (Iridescent Shell Pink). Another favourite for an inner-corner highlight.
- Buon Fresco- (Matte Antique Lavender). My most used colour so far! An amazing lavender which I love all over my lid.
- Antique Bronze- (Metallic Sable). A deep colour that I've mostly used in my crease.
- Love Letter- (Matte, Raspberry). A beautiful colour which is unique to the palette.
- Cyprus Umber- (Matte, Dark Coffee). A nice, deep brown, good for the outer 'V' and crease.
Bottom Row
- Raw Sienna- (Matte, Neutral Amber). A neutral crease and transition shade.
- Burnt Orange- (Matte, Deep Orange). I love this colour as it is unique and goes well with Realgar.
- Primavera- (Metallic, Shimmery Gold Dust). This is an amazing inner-highlight that pops like nothing else!
- Red Ochre- (Matte, Sienna Red). Truly stunning. A lid colour and crease colour.
- Venetian Red- (Matte, Crimson). I love the colour of this but don't find it to be as highly pigmented as the other colours, so needs building up.
- Warm Taupe- (Matte, Earthy Grey). I love this as a crease colour as it is super easy to blend which is perfect when you need to do your make up in a rush!
- Realgar- (Matte, Brick). Unique to my collection, oranges aren't praised enough.
The overall pigmentation of these shadows are insane! The only slight let down is Venetian Red, but it can be built up. I can't stress enough how velvety and smooth the eyeshadows feel when applying it which I haven't seen in other palettes that I've used.
The only other issue is that you really do need to use shadow shields, or like me, a tissue under your eyes. The majority of the colours do have fall out that will smudge if you swipe it away. It may even be worth doing your eye make up before your base make up so you can remove any fall out with a make up wipe. This also means that little crumbs of shadow build up in the palette when you've put your brush in it, so I do recommend putting your brush back in to use those little crumbs on your eyes rather than leaving them in the palette to make a mess. This isn't really much of a problem but something to consider when using them.
In conclusion, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this palette and it is definitely my favourite in my collection! I use it every day so the amount I use it justifies the price of it. It has many unique shades and I love every colour. I've already recommended it to people and will continue to recommend it.

February Favourites
I haven't done a monthly Favourites post in a long while so thought I'd bring it back again this month!
1. Monkl Shady Lady Eyeshadow Palette- This was a Christmas present from my friend Ruby. I have been enjoying a particular shade from the palette this month which is the first shade- a glittery silver. I have been loving this colour as a base colour on my eyelid and it goes well with multiple crease colours. On a night out I have used black to create a smokey eye and in the day time I have used a purple which I absolutely loved the combination of! I find this colour becomes more pigmented as well with a damp brush so prefer to use it that way. It also makes for a fab inner corner highlight!
2. Urban Decay Aferglow 8-Hour Highlighter 'Sin'- I bought this beautiful highlighter with a gift card after eyeing it up for 6 months. The packaging is stunning to match the stunning silvery highlight. It goes on sheer so you can build it up depending on how bold you want your highlight to be and is easy to blend. This also makes for a fab inner corner highlight.
3. Real Techniques Your Picks: Berlin 'Base Shadow Brush'- Although this is a base eyeshadow brush, I've actually been loving using it to blend out the edges of my crease colour. Although I do use a crease brush first to pack on the colour, I find it is far easier to blend the edges out for a less harsh line with this fluffy brush. I reviewed the whole set on my blog so be sure to check that out!
4. Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer- This is a cult favourite for all beauty bloggers and I am certainly late to the bandwagon but I can see what the hype is about now! I've been loving how easy it is to start lightly and then build it up if necessary. The perfect bronzer colour which is also good for subtle contouring.
5. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick 'Exorcism'- I have been wanting this browny-red vampire colour for ages so when my friend Antonia bought it for me for Christmas I was ecstatic. It's not as good at layering as 'Lolita' is but nevertheless I still love it and it doesn't have to be a bold lip that takes forever to apply. LOVE this colour!

August Favourites: Beauty, Fashion & TV
At the beginning of August I treated myself to the Zoeva Rose Golden Eyeshadow Palette which I bought from BeautyBay. It arrived next day even though I didn't ask for next day delivery which was pretty cool! But anyway, this palette is a mix of shimmers and mattes and my favourite colour is 'Copper is King'. The quality is great and it is my most used palette of August. I highly recommend it!
Another new item in August for me was Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in 'Lolita'. My brother bought it for me in America and brought it back which definitely gave him extra brother points. I knew it was an extremely popular colour and he said it was always sold out! I have only worn one other lipstick in August and that was only one day: nearly everyday I've worn this lipstick! It is the perfect brown nude and I am relieved I have a back up of it.
My other two beauty favourites are actually make up brushes which I've had for a long time. The Real Techniques Setting Brush has been in my favourites before because of how versatile it is and since then I have found another use for it. In August I ditched my method of applying concealer with my finger and instead used this brush! It applies great and I can pin point spots with the tip of the brush. As for the small Seventeen eyeshadow brush I have been using it for my inner corner highlight. It is the perfect size for getting into your inner corner and I have mostly been pairing it up with the whiter shade in the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. I love adding some light into the corner of my eyes now!
A non-beauty favourite from August is my new bodysuit from River Island. Before I bought this I was apprehensive of bodysuits because they reminded me too much of the annoying leotards I always had to wear for ballet and tap dancing. However, when I saw 'Rock 'n' Roll Stole My Soul' with a huge skull I knew I had to have it. I love clothing with skulls on and I am certainly a Rock 'n' Roll kinda gal! My favourite way to wear this is with my grey skinny jeans with a ribbed effect on the knees from H&M. I wish I had a better photo of this.
My final favourite is a TV favourite which I am pretty sure is in everyone's August Favourites. Can you guess it? Yes, it's Stranger Things! My boyfriend and I binged watched it across 2 days and we cannot wait for season 2 next year. I love the supernatural element of it and the chemistry between the children are fantastic! Normally I find child actors cringey but here I can certainly see their talent. They're lovable on and off screen and Dustin always has the best quotes in the show by far.
Until next time!

New in My Make Up Collection
Hello all!
I've got some new items in my make up collection that I want to share with you all.
First of all is the Zoeva Rose Golden Eyeshadow Palette. I've been eyeing up the Zoeva eyeshadow palettes for months and I finally bought one because I wanted to treat myself after pay day. I decided on the Rose Golden one because my friend has it so I've seen in person how stunning it is! I bought it for £18 on BeautyBay and amazingly it arrived the next day.

The next few items have been excitingly anticipated by me for so long. As a former emo kid I have adored Kat Von D for many years so as soon as I knew she had her own make up line I was amazed. It was like her packaging was made just for me, with how great the products are being a bonus! My brother went to America with work for 2 months so I asked him to pick me up the Kat Von D Lolita Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and the black Tattoo Liquid Eyeliner which he did. He bought me 2 of each which gives him major brother points! Funnily enough the day after he told me he bought them Debenhams announced they were going to start selling Kat Von D Beauty in the UK, so you know full well you will see a lot more of her products on this blog.

May Favourites
My first favourite is my Essentials Amethyst Teardrop necklace. My boyfriend bought me this for my birthday; he definitely knows my taste! It is a beautiful purple amethyst with a sterling silver chain and silver veins curling over the amethyst. I love it and I have been really enjoying wearing it.
The second favourite is the Kiko Milano Water Eyeshadow '329' which Emily bought me for my birthday. I had seen these around and Emily was kind enough to buy me this lovely silver glittery one. The great thing about these is that you can use the eyeshadow dry for a more subtle look or wet for a more intense look. I have used this all over the lid or on the inner part of my eyelid. Review to come!
My next favourite I have written a review about and it is The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Night Cream. This night cream has really been helping to nourish and calm my sensitive skin and battle any dry patches. I can already see the bottom of the tub I've used it so much!
The final favourite is the Inglot Freedom System Rainbow Double Sparkle '126' Eyeshadow which I got in Dublin. An Irish YouTuber that I watch adores Inglot Cosmetics so when I went to Dublin I had planned to buy an Inglot product. This eyeshadow comes with 3 shades of blue and this month I've been particularly enjoying the middle shade of blue for applying at the corners of my eyelids and in my crease. It's like 3 eyeshadows for the price of 1! Of course, a review to come.
What have you been enjoying in May? I'm hoping to buy some make up that I can't get in my city/country on my June travels so hopefully my June favourites will be an interesting one!

Makeup Geek & Z palette
Hello all!
I had known of Makeup Geek for a long while due to being subscribed to her on YouTube, so when I saw Makeup Geek had come to Beauty Bay I knew I wanted to try out the eye shadows. It seems all YouTubers and bloggers alike love them and I've never heard a bad word about them! As for Z Palette, again I heard about them plenty of times from YouTube/blogs and I knew a lot of make up lovers had been using their Z Palettes to store Makeup Geek pans. It seems like a match made in heaven!
Lets talk about Z Palette first. For anyone who doesn't know, Z palettes are empty make up palettes which are magnetic. You can use them to store pans of make up as they stick like magnets to the palette. The Z palette also comes with little circles and strips of metal just in case the product you're decanting doesn't have something it can attract to the magnet. I decided to buy one that fits about 9 small pans in it. I didn't want to spend too much money on the little palette I was going to build and that 9 would be a good amount. The bigger Z palettes are more expensive but I figure they would be really useful for saving space in your make up collection if you can decant a whole bunch of them. I chose the leopard print because it stood out and I have a bad habit of going for the black colour of everything in my life!
As for the eyeshadows, I knew I wanted to a build a collection of colours which I think are missing from my collection. My plan isn't to make a coordinated palette of colours that would necessarily go together, but rather find colours I am missing in my collection. For example, although Makeup Geek do absolutely stunning blues, I already own many shades of blue so will try to steer clear of them!
I've so far bought two colours. The first colour I picked was a matte eyeshadow called 'Curfew'. Despite the fact that I love the colour purple I don't really have many shades of purple in my collection so I picked out this. In photos it looks more pink than purple but it does come out more of a light purple on the eyes! The second colour I chose was 'Secret Garden' from the duo-chrome collection. I knew straight away I wanted a green eyeshadow as I don't believe I own a green one otherwise. This is stunning and is high-shine; showing different tones of the moss green in various lights. It is certainly beautiful and I even filmed a video of it on my Instagram to show how the colour varies in light.
Now let me tell you: These eyeshadows are the SOFTEST eyeshadows I have ever used! The Urban Decay eyeshadows are fantastic in the fact that they are so damn buttery, however these Makeup Geek ones feel so soft! It seems bizarre to describe an eyeshadow as soft but when I was using them I couldn't get over how soft they felt to apply and blend without any tugging. They glide on and blend so perfectly! Lasting power does seem to be pretty impressive too and I am just so incredibly eager to expand my collection.
There's something so satisfying about building your own palette and I really do recommend it to all you make up lovers out there. You can build a palette of multiple shades of one colour, a palette of colours that would all go together for various looks or like me, include colours missing from your make up collection already. When you buy palettes sometimes there will be 1 or 2 colours you don't use or like so much, which you don't really run the risk of when creating your own!
I am planning to buy my next few soon so I will certainly update you all on the progress of my palette. Do you like Makeup Geek Eyeshadows?

February Favourites
End of February already! February for me was interesting. In the beginning of February I went to Dublin, Ireland with my friend for 3 days and then I also had a lot of holiday to use up so spent a lot of time away from work. Here are my favourite make up items for this month:
- Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadow Rainbow Sparkle 126- When I went to Dublin I knew I wanted to check out Inglot from seeing a Irish YouTuber use them. I decided to get this rainbow one with 3 shades of blue as I love blue and quite frankly this is beautiful. I haven't actually used this yet but I am excited to have an occasion to use it!
- Rimmel The Only 1 'One-of-a-Kind' Lipstick- I got this lipstick for Christmas from my sister. It is a deep red/berry shade which is my favourite colour to wear on my lips right now. I like how it matches my hair and it is a lovely smooth formula.
- MAC 'Sin' Lipstick- When I was in Dublin I swatched Sin and knew I wanted it so when I got home I purchased it from the MAC nearest to me. It is a matte shade and is a very dark, bold lip. It is shades of brown and red and although I would wear this all year round it screams Autumn/Winter at me. I do love a good dark lip!
- BarryM Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit- I've had this for a year now but would go through phases of using it or not using it. I am sharing this specifically for the bronzer shade as I have been really enjoying using it this month to the point where I have just hit pan a little bit. I am not usually one for bronzer or contour so I am slowly easing myself into it.
What were your favourites this month?

Kiko Milano Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow
Hello!
Kiko have been making quite the number of appearances on my blog recently! These are the Kiko Milano Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadows. I have 3, one of which I bought in Spain and then 2 I bought back in the UK.
These eyeshadow sticks are described on the website as having a creamy formula, vibrant colour, water resistant and extreme blendability. It is a cream eyeshadow that can essentially be applied straight on to the eyelid without necessarily being neat which you can then blend out. Cream eyeshadows are usually a great base for powder eyeshadows but are also good on their own.
The colours I own are number 36 'Golden Mauve', number 31 'Iris Blue' and number 16 'Purple'. 36 is a stunning golden pinky shade. I didn't realise how pink it was until I bought it (I don't like wearing pink make up personally) but the gold shimmer makes up for it! I find this is an easy colour to wear to work. 31 on the other hand is a bright, solid blue colour which works wonderful as a pop of colour or good for a base for my other blue eyeshadows. Finally, 16 is a slightly deep purple, perfect for a bold eye make up look.

Finally, 16 is a slightly deep purple, perfect for a bold eye make up look.
What I really like about these eyeshadows is how easy they are to apply. Because it is a crayon type eyeshadow you can easily draw it on to your eye without trying to be particularly careful and then blend it out. With the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadows which are also cream, I find them not so easy to apply because they are in a pot. The crayon form is so much better. I do find that I need to apply another layer after blending to keep the intensity of the colour but I like not having to be neat! I like to draw it across my eyelid, slightly into my crease and then an angled line where I would draw an eyeliner flick. Then, using a blending brush I like to blend it inwards. For some reason I find the blue one slightly more difficult to blend but it is still possible.
Another likeable feature of these eyeshadows is the lasting power. The cream formula really does last all day and doesn't transfer which is a relief for my hooded eyes. Despite the lasting power it doesn't mean it is difficult to wipe off at the end of the day and it comes off with ease with my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.
What also surprised me is how water resistant it is. I don't think I've ever worn it in the rain or cried with it on, but when I went to wash away the swatches it didn't budge or fade whatsoever! I was running the tap on the swatches and nothing happened, even when I tried rubbing at it. A course of soap, water and a make up wipe was necessary!
I managed to find 2 photos from a while ago where I am wearing the blue one and the purple one. Sorry they aren't the best of quality but I hadn't taken them with the blog in mind!
So I really do like these eyeshadow sticks. To summarise, I like them because they're easy to apply because you don't have to be neat, they last a long while, they make a good base for powder eyeshadow and you wouldn't have to worry about it in the rain. Furthermore, they're only £6.90 with over 30 colours to choose from so they're an excellent price! My only slight criticism is that they don't have 'extreme blendability' like the website describes which I found mostly with the blue eyeshadow.
Side note, for all you sensitive skin sufferers out there, I have sensitive eyelids and they do not have a reaction to these eyeshadow sticks.
Kiko Milano is fast becoming one of my favourite brands to buy from at the moment and I am loving trying all of their stuff. I love the fact that we have a store in my local mall!

May Favourites
Hello!
It's that time again! I have only got 3 favourites this month which is less than what I usually have but nevertheless they're my favs!
*I have written reviews on all of these favourites in the past, so to see what I think of them click on the product names which will take you to the review I made on it.
First of all, we have the Barry M Aquarium Collection nail polish in 'Pacific'. I absolutely love this nail polish and have been wearing it for 2 weeks straight now. I love it because it is a beautiful dual-chrome petrol blue colour that is super long lasting and is overall stunning.
Secondly, I have been loving MAC 'Lady Danger' lipstick. This is the second MAC lipstick I have owned and I have been wearing it a lot this month as I think it's the perfect Spring/Summer lipstick.
Thirdly, and lastly, is the famous Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'Everlasting Navy'. I have had this for a year and it has been in my favourites before but it is back in my favourites now because I love using it for an eyeliner. With an angled brush I apply this along the lash line and it works brill as a pop of colour lining the eyes.
Those are my favourites! What were your favourites for the month of May? Let me know!

Make Up Revolution Wishlist
Hey!
Over the past months the brand Make Up Revolution are becoming more and more well known for their cheap prices, amazing dupes and for being a brand who seem to have multiple releases each and every month.
I have been eyeing up a lot of their stuff for a while now and their brand are one of my favourites to stalk on their social media sites etc. Their make up is just so pretty and affordable!
I am on a spending ban right now to save for my gap year but when I eventually give myself permission to treat myself I am going to be sure to get these!
1. I Love Make Up I Love Obsession- Pure Cult

Apart from the annoyingly long name, this palette seems amazing. What is extra great about it is that it is a near perfect dupe for Naked 3 palette but only at £3.99! I have seen swatches of these eyeshadows and they look so beautiful...definitely at the top of my list!
2. Mermaids vs Unicorns
I have been admiring this palette for months now but due to my spending ban I have been reluctant to buy it. The colours are absolutely stunning! I like wearing blue eyeshadow as I think it is a great colour for my blue eyes so I would really like to try these ones out. Such beautiful colour combinations!
3. Icon Pro 2
I think you can guess straight away what palette this is a dupe for. Of course, it is the Lorac Pro 2 palette! Not only is this immensely cheaper than the Lorac Pro 2, the Lorac Pro is also extremely difficult to get in the UK which is also why this is amazing. The colours look lovely and I would really like to try it out seeing as I will never get the chance to own the Lorac Pro 2.
What is your favourite out of these 3? Do you own any Make Up Revolution products? Let me know!

Make Up Revolution Wishlist!
Hey guys!
Today I thought I would share with you a small wishlist I have for the brand Make Up Revolution. Lately I have been hearing a lot about them from Bloggers and after checking them out I couldn't help but make a list of the items I really wanted! What's super good about Make Up Revolution is that their prices are very cheap and can be bought in Superdrug so you can check their products out face to face for yourself.
My ultimate wish is for the Color Chaos palette. Ever since I saw a review on this palette I knew I had to have it! The colours in it are brilliant and I have heard so many good things about their eyeshadows. What is even better is that this palette is only £6! I am definitely going to buy myself this.
Then these are those two lipsticks. The blue one is called Immoral and the purple one is called Depraved. Although I have seen some bad reviews about how this are difficult to apply I cannot help but be in awe of the vibrant colours! I have been wanting for ages to try out a blue lipstick and I am already a huge fan of purple lipsticks. And at the price of £1 each, you can't really go wrong can you? Even if they are bad on the lips I won't feel out of pocket.
As you can tell from this mini wishlist I am craving bright, crazy and vibrant colours right now. To me the brand seems like they would offer some great gifts to give to people too at their inexpensive prices!
Do you own anything from Make Up Revolution or are you lusting after anything? Let me know!

February Favourites!
Hey BumbleBeas,
It's that time again!
It's that time again!
1. SEVENTEEN MIRACLE MATTE PRESSED POWDER
I have never used powder before so this was my first time and boy it didn't let me down! I will be writing a review on this soon but so far I really like it and use it daily.
2. MAYBELLINE COLOUR TATTOO -EVERLASTING NAVY
I absolutely adore this eyeshadow! I have written a review on it if you'd like to go see it but it is by far the best eyeshadow I have ever used and I'm glad I bought it.
3. RIMMEL MOISTURE RENEW LIPSTICK DARK NIGHT WATERL-OOPS!
A fantastic lipstick which my photos do no justice to. A lovely plum/purpley lipstick which for me lasted six hours before it came off. I am in love with the colour and it makes me feel confident when I wear it. A review will be coming soon!
4. ALLEGIANT BY VERONICA ROTH
The last book in the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth. It goes Divergent, Insurgent then Allegiant. This book made me bawl my eyes out and I would say the trilogy is one of my top favourite series of books I have ever read. Can't wait for the Divergent film to come out in April!
So that's it! Have you used any of these or read Allegiant? What did you think? What is in your February Favourites? Let me know I'd love to hear!
