New in My Make Up Collection

Hello all!

I've got some new items in my make up collection that I want to share with you all.

First of all is the Zoeva Rose Golden Eyeshadow Palette. I've been eyeing up the Zoeva eyeshadow palettes for months and I finally bought one because I wanted to treat myself after pay day. I decided on the Rose Golden one because my friend has it so I've seen in person how stunning it is! I bought it for £18 on BeautyBay and amazingly it arrived the next day.

The next few items have been excitingly anticipated by me for so long. As a former emo kid I have adored Kat Von D for many years so as soon as I knew she had her own make up line I was amazed. It was like her packaging was made just for me, with how great the products are being a bonus! My brother went to America with work for 2 months so I asked him to pick me up the Kat Von D Lolita Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and the black Tattoo Liquid Eyeliner which he did. He bought me 2 of each which gives him major brother points! Funnily enough the day after he told me he bought them Debenhams announced they were going to start selling Kat Von D Beauty in the UK, so you know full well you will see a lot more of her products on this blog.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner

Hello!

This is my current liquid eyeliner. It is the Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner in black from Maybelline at the reasonable price of £5.99.

This eyeliner claims to never skip, never dry out and to be easy to use with the 0.4mm brush for defined black lines. It also claims to be suitable for sensitive eyes.

So what do I think? Well to begin with, I have sensitive eyes and it doesn't irritate them which is positive. I also really like the thin brush as I find it the easiest brush I have ever used for eyeliner! I pretty much daily like to have winged eyeliner but I always struggle with doing the wing. However, with this brush it is much easier- I can create really defined tips and lines and do the wing almost immediately! So I believe it is perfect for those who struggle with eyeliner like I always did.

Another thing I like about the brush is that it is easy to sweep a line over your eye with one stroke without skipping. If you begin in your inner corner with the tip you can draw a slight line then as you bring it out if you lean more on the brush the line becomes thicker. This is such a nice effect and looks tidy without taking too much time.

BUT, I do have an issue with it. Although the eyeliner on my eyelid lasts all day without fading, I cannot say the same for the wing part. By the end of the day the wing is slightly cracked, dry and faded along with losing the intensity of the colour. To resolve this I go over the wing and wing only hours later just to bring it back to life. It isn't particularly noticeable from afar but when you're up close you notice the issue.

Overall this is the best eyeliner brush I have used and I find it really easy to do winged eyeliner everyday. Although the wing fades and you have to reapply, it is still quite a good eyeliner. I would like to look for other eyeliners where the wing actually stays the same all day but I would also buy this eyeliner again because I can get over the issue for how easy it is to use.

PROS
  • The eyeliner on your eyelid lasts all day
  • Doesn't smudge
  • Brush makes doing precise lines really easy
  • Doesn't skip
  • Nice packaging
  • Easy to alter the thickness of the line by the way you position the brush
  • Great price

CONS
  • Wing fades and cracks slightly after a while

Christmas Day Make Up

Hey BumbleBeas,

I thought I'd show you all my make up from Christmas day :-) I used lipstick and eyeliner I received for Christmas.

The lipstick is by L'oreal Paris and is No, 461. It has such a stunning gold case which I think makes it look ever so appealing! In addition the colour and strength of the red is beautiful and I absolutely love it.

The liquid eyeliner is also L'oreal Paris and is called Super Liner. I found the eyeliner super easy to use and found it quicker than I do with other eyeliners to do my make up without making mistakes. However, despite how easy it was to use it kept smudging on to the skin above my eyelid so I had to keep checking it throughout the day which was highly annoying. Bittersweet really.
Did you have a nice Christmas? What did you get? What did you do for your make up?
