Beauty Haul | Urban Decay, Benefit etc!

Hello!

It had been a long time since I went to the shops and just shopped, browsed the make up section etc so yesterday I decided to remedy this with Christmas gift cards in hand.

I first of all went into Boots, which I was most excited about. I can't remember the last time I went in and just looked at everything and bought what took my fancy!

I noticed it was 3 for 2 on Eylure, so I picked up 3 pairs of eyelashes as I didn't have any left in my collection. I always used to wear fake eyelashes on nights out and special occasions but I just hadn't got round to buying more. I like more natural one's that don't look heavy but still make my eyelashes look fuller and longer. I chose: Naturals No. 33, Naturals. 020 and Lengthening No. 116. I am particularly interested in trying No. 33 has it is an angled lash with a lengthening finish so I am hoping they will look amazing with winged eyeliner and give a feline look to the eyes.

Then I picked out the Collection Powered by Witch Mattifying Pore Minimiser Primer as I noticed that morning I was coming to the end of my primer. I picked this one because I like witch hazel for acne and my friend recommended it. An absolutely budget friendly primer too so it will be great if it is good!

After, I went over to the Benefit counter. I love Benefit but rarely buy anything from there due to their prices and me liking to save my pennies. However, I thought I'd treat myself by getting the cult favourite Hoola bronzer. I was confident I would like it as everyone and their dog seems to like it so I am looking forward to giving it a go!

Then of course, I also had to lastly pick up my holy grail Batiste dry shampoo. I have spoken about this dry shampoo way too much on my blog as I just can't live without it.

I then went over to John Lewis to check out the Urban Decay counter where I saw the Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter in 'Sin'. My friend and I had seen it back in June when we were travelling in Berlin and I instantly fell in love with it. I had been thinking about it ever since so I just went for it! I had space for a decent highlighter in my make up collection and I am extremely excited to use it.

That was it for my make up items. It isn't pictured but I additionally went into Topshop and picked up a 'night out' dress which was on sale from £39.00 to £15.00! My friend spotted it and I fell in love. It is a tight nude coloured dress with black lace overlay and spaghetti straps. There is also another spaghetti strap forming a 'V' over the chest which is what had particularly drawn me to it.

Glossybox November 2015

A month ago I made an order on Boohoo.com, and when my parcel arrived it came with a voucher for GlossyBox. I had heard about Glossybox plenty of times before by other bloggers but had never gotten one, so when I received this voucher I knew that I wanted to go for it. The voucher plus shipping brought it to £9 something, so how could I resist?

Can we just talk about how beautiful the package is? It makes it even more exciting, untying the ribbon to see what the surprise products are...

Drumroll please...

  • MUA Eyeshadow palette- The idea of having a new make up palette excited me. I knew about MUA but had never tried a product before so this seems like a great one to start! It is full of different colours that ensure you can do a natural look or a party look. Some seem matte and some seem glitter which makes it versatile. It looks like a really nice palette that I will definitely try out, however I've noticed that it looks pretty damn similar to my Sleek 'Storm' palette! A definite dupe. That kind of disappointed me but I will still use nonetheless. This is a bargain at £4.00.

    • Royal Apothic Moisturising Body Lotion- I have never heard of this brand before and I am extremely excited to try it out! It is a moisturising lotion with sweet almond milk in. The packaging is absolutely beautiful and it looks like the perfect pamper product. The full size product is £14.50.

    • Emite Diamond Heart Primer- Another brand I have never heard of! I love primers and have actually been thinking about getting another primer so this was good timing. It is described as lightweight and is apparently peach coloured to balance out skin tone. I am really excited to try this out, especially when the full size is worth £25.90! A nice little luxury product for me to try out.

    • Eylure Naturalites Eyelashes- I was super excited when I saw this because I have just recently gotten into wearing false eyelashes, with the brand I use being Eylure. I had just finished my full lash eyelashes and was going to buy another but fortunately I now have these! I was super pleased with getting these natural volume eyelashes and they are worth £5.00.

    • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick- Unfortunately this was the downside of the box. When I saw that there was a lipstick I was quite excited as I love lipsticks, especially matte ones like this, but when I saw the colour I was disappointed. Admittedly I don't like the colour and I tried it on but it just looks like foundation on my lips. It doesn't agree with my skin tone but I think I will ask around and see if anyone I know would like it. I really wish I had gotten a different colour! It is a moisturising lipstick with Vitamin E and it is £7.99.

Overall I really loved my first Glossybox and the whole idea of receiving a mystery box of beauty is exciting. It is a good way to try out new brands, brands you may not have necessarily heard of before, and it can get you to try out things you normally wouldn't even think of buying for yourself.

Do you get any subscription boxes?

Boots Haul | Make Up & Holiday Necessities

    Hello!

The other day I made a trip to my local Boots store with my Mum to replenish some make up items and stock up for my upcoming holiday. I spent a little bit more money than I ideally wanted to but it was worth it!

    • Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive Day Cream SPF 15-

I'm going on holiday in about a week's time and I needed a SPF for my face. I'm really picky about what SPF I will put on my face as some can cause me to break out. Most years I stick to Nivea, and this year I decided to go for a sensitive skin one. I have sensitive skin and this cream also claims to help redness, which I have a lot of, so I am looking forward to trying this.

    • Tresemme Freeze Hold Hairspray 100ml-

Another item for going on holiday is this smaller sized version of hairspray. I have always used Tresemme hairspray so I got a smaller bottle to take on holiday. It's good because it is 100ml which is the amount of liquid you can take on a plane.

    • L'Oreal Infallible 24hr Matte Foundation [Rose Beige]-

As the bad beauty blogger I am, I've always only used the same foundation. However, I'm finding more and more lately that the foundation that I use isn't really suitable to my skin type now which is kind of dry. I have been seeing so many good reviews over the past few months on this foundation so I have been dying to try it. I always want a good coverage matte foundation so hopefully this will do the trick. I used to always use the L'Oreal Infallible eyeliner in my high school days so I have high standards for this!

    • Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer [02 Cool Medium & 03 Warm Medium]-

This is my holy grail concealer and when I decided to change foundation I just couldn't convince myself to change concealer. I couldn't decide which colour would go better with my new foundation so I bought both 02 and 03 shades to try with it. Before that, I always used 03. I adore this concealer and it is certainly the concealer I recommend for anyone who suffers with acne, redness and scarring like I do.

    • Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen-

My eyeliner (which is this one) is currently on its last legs so I thought I better buy a new one! I'm usually more flexible when it comes to liquid eyeliners and trying new ones but this time I decided to stick with something I know that works for me. I love doing winged eyeliner and this is my favourite liquid eyeliner to do that. What more can I say?

    • Eylure Pro-Lash Individuals [Short, Medium & Long Length]-

Again, as the bad beauty blogger I am, I have never used false eyelashes. I've been wanting to for ages but always convinced myself I would be crap at applying them. However, then I think back to the days where I struggled with mascara and eyeliner- now look at me! But the reason I finally decided to get eyelashes was because I recently had an eye infection which meant I lost a large amount of eyelashes. It's to the point where I look like I don't have many eyelashes and they're super gappy so I decided to try my hand at individual lashes. Hopefully they will bring me more confidence with my eyelashes and totally change my eye make up!

    • Carex Aloe Vera Refreshing Hand Gel-

If I had a pound for every time I have been out and wished I had some antibatcerial hand gel to use then I would be rich. My main reason to buy this was so I could take it on holiday with me in case I needed it but this will go straight in my handbag afterwards. I also find that I get ill a hell of a lot so I am hoping if I use this outside more I might find myself getting ill less.

    • Boots Travel Bottles-

I didn't take a photo of these but I bought two travel bottles to put some of my usual Tresemme Colour Fade Protection Shampoo & Conditioner in for when I go away. I usually save smaller bottles from other products to use as travel bottles but I still needed another 2. I couldn't find a travel sized version of the shampoo and conditioner I like and I am too smitten with them to buy anything else!

So that's it! Have you used any of these items? Let me know!
