Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner

Hello!

This is my current liquid eyeliner. It is the Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner in black from Maybelline at the reasonable price of £5.99.

This eyeliner claims to never skip, never dry out and to be easy to use with the 0.4mm brush for defined black lines. It also claims to be suitable for sensitive eyes.

So what do I think? Well to begin with, I have sensitive eyes and it doesn't irritate them which is positive. I also really like the thin brush as I find it the easiest brush I have ever used for eyeliner! I pretty much daily like to have winged eyeliner but I always struggle with doing the wing. However, with this brush it is much easier- I can create really defined tips and lines and do the wing almost immediately! So I believe it is perfect for those who struggle with eyeliner like I always did.

Another thing I like about the brush is that it is easy to sweep a line over your eye with one stroke without skipping. If you begin in your inner corner with the tip you can draw a slight line then as you bring it out if you lean more on the brush the line becomes thicker. This is such a nice effect and looks tidy without taking too much time.

BUT, I do have an issue with it. Although the eyeliner on my eyelid lasts all day without fading, I cannot say the same for the wing part. By the end of the day the wing is slightly cracked, dry and faded along with losing the intensity of the colour. To resolve this I go over the wing and wing only hours later just to bring it back to life. It isn't particularly noticeable from afar but when you're up close you notice the issue.

Overall this is the best eyeliner brush I have used and I find it really easy to do winged eyeliner everyday. Although the wing fades and you have to reapply, it is still quite a good eyeliner. I would like to look for other eyeliners where the wing actually stays the same all day but I would also buy this eyeliner again because I can get over the issue for how easy it is to use.

PROS
  • The eyeliner on your eyelid lasts all day
  • Doesn't smudge
  • Brush makes doing precise lines really easy
  • Doesn't skip
  • Nice packaging
  • Easy to alter the thickness of the line by the way you position the brush
  • Great price

CONS
  • Wing fades and cracks slightly after a while

How To: Bow Nail Art!

Hey BumbleBeas!

I did this nail design about a month ago and I would like to share with you how I did it as it is definitely in my top 10 of favourite nail arts that I have done and it received so many compliments. It is cute and doesn't take much effort or skill!

What You Need:

*A sky blue nail polish (I used Barry M's Gelly Hi-Shine Guava)
*A black striper or nail art pen (I used Barry M's black nail art pen)
*OPTIONAL: Base coat
*OPTIONAL: Shiny top coat

1. Paint on your favourite base coat to protect your nail and prevent staining from the nail polish. Let it fully dry.

2. Paint all your nails with the blue nail polish and let it dry. You may need more than one coat!

3. You can do this in two different ways, I found it was easier to do both ways depending on how small the nail was or on what hand it was!
                                                            A) Keeping both wrists on your surface to give a steady hand, draw a medium thickness line across your nail. Then, draw two triangles that meet one another at the singular point to form a bow. Colour it in and leave it to dry.

B) Draw two triangles facing one another with the singular point touching one another for the bow. Colour the triangles in then draw a medium thickness line coming out of each side. Leave it to dry.

4. Leaving enough drying time so the next coat doesn't smudge the design, put on your top coat. I recommend using a shiny one as it just adds to the cuteness of it!

And there you have it! Lovely bow nails. I really recommend buying a nail art pen for this as it very similar to drawing with a normal pen so it is soooo much easier to use! You should also decide where you'd like to put the bow on your nails so they all look equal. Perhaps decide to put them all in the middle of your nail or on the left/right side.

What do you think? Will you try it? Let me know!

Barry M Nail Art Pens Review!

Hello BumbleBeas :-)

Today I wanted to do a quick review for you on the Barry M nail art pens which I currently have in black and pink as a Christmas presents from my mother.

I love these pens! They're great for people who are beginners with nail art and want to get some practice in. Also, as someone who gets shaky hands, I find it really easy to control and do some fine lines with. What's great is that the tip is just like a pen so when you're doing the art you feel comfortable with it as it is just like using a normal day to day writing pen!

Here is some random doodling I did on my nails with the black nail art pen:

I highly recommend these nail art pens and I definitely will use them often and want more. Good on you, Barry M!

Do you own any of these nail art pens? What do you think of them? Let me know!
