Models Own HyperGel Top Coat Review

Hello!

I have been using this top coat for a couple of months now so I thought it was about time that I reviewed it for you.

I have mixed views on this top coat to be honest. I love the packaging, the idea and the way it applies. However, I don't believe it creates the 'gel effect' it claims to make. I use this on Models Own nail varnish and other brand of nail polish yet don't notice it looking like gel nails. This is really disappointed me as I love the gel effect and I love the other nail polishes in the HyperGel collection.

As a top coat however it works and creates a nice shine. Despite this the lasting power isn't as good as other nail polishes so for the price of £7.99 I wouldn't bother buying it. Luckily for me I won this in a competition so I am not out of pocket but nevertheless it was still nice to try.

PROS:

• Lasts a fair amount of time
• Lovely packaging
• Great idea
• Nice added shine to the nails

CONS

• No gel effect like it claims to have
• Doesn't last as long as some other top coats
• A bit pricey (in my opinion)

Nails: 50 Shades of Blue

Hello!

Here are my current nails. I used;

*Barry M Gelly Nails 
*Models Own Hyper Gel
*Models Own Speckled Egg

Although my ring finger is a speckled green, I decided it was pretty similar to the two shades of blue on my other fingers. These colours worked so much better together than expected and I received a lot of compliments on them!

PS- Sorry this is a short post! I have been super busy trying to do a big essay for University stuff so I haven't had any free time. I was hoping to find someone or some people to do some guest posting for me so I could take a break to concentrate on my work but I have had no such luck. 

April Favourites!

Hello! Here are my kind of late April favourites:

1. Models Own- Hypergel and Speckled Egg

Both new from Models Own, Hypergel is a high-shine gel like nail varnish which I love. Mine is a beautiful pastel blue. The other one is from the speckled egg collection brought out for Easter and I have mine in green. I will do full reviews on these soon!

2. L'oreal Paris Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara- Black

I was so excited when I got this! I don't want to say too much about it as a review will be coming up on it but it is great and I really want to try the other colours.

3. Revlon ColourBurst Matte Lip Balms

Silly me forgot to note down the names of these colours but I have a beautiful red and a gorgeous purple. I will review these very soon but I am extremely EXCITED about them!

4. DVD- Chicago

I LOVE musicals, and Chicago is one of my favourites. Chicago is a brilliant film and the songs are fun to sing along to :-) Saucy, sexy and pure brilliance. A must watch.

My Birthday Wishlist!

Surprise, my birthday is next week (3rd of April)! My birthday is going to be pretty boring as nobody is around that day but the day after I am going for a meal and to see the film Divergent with some fellow Divergent fan friends which will be pretty awesome.
