Empties #13

Last month was Empties #12 which means it is time for Empties #13!

At the beginning of June I went travelling for 2 weeks so of course I needed a can of Batiste dry shampoo to see me through it! This is a 100ml travel size too which means I could bring it on board the plane and it not take up too much room.

The Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser is something I have enjoyed using for years, whether this one or the grapefruit one, as it is good for acne prone skin. It is light, fresh and good for day moisturiser that will soak in quickly so you can start applying your make up!

Just over a year ago I was sent the Amphora Aromatics Seaweed & Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel to review. My favourite way to use this was to help remove my make up. You can click on the name of the product to learn more about it and my opinion!

Another seaweed product (an unintentional theme there!) is The Body Shop Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator. I used this in the shower only to exfoliate my face. I liked this product as it was a great exfoliant however it would sting my eyes a bit even if the product wasn't near them! The packaging of this has now changed.

Lastly is an Impulse body spray in the scent 'Be Surprised' Violets & Red Fruit. This is just one of your standard cheap body sprays that run out in a month or less. I don't like to use this on its own but rather in companion with perfume.

Thanks for reading!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Spray

I love Soap & Glory products. I love their make up and their bath/shower products. The products are great, the packaging is great and the brand is just a fun brand over all.

One range they have is called Sugar Crush. Sugar Crush is an extremely sweet smell with vanilla musk, sweet lime, ginger and essential lemon oil. To me it smells strongly of sugary lemon and reminds me of a cross between Lush sugar lip scrubs and lime. I would hazard a guess that the scent is one of those scents that you love or you hate. If you have a sweet tooth I would definitely recommend the scent but if you don't then you might find it far too sickly! I personally love the scent and think it's perfect for a bright summer's day.

The packaging of the body spray is also nice. It is in a tall, pink bottle with a picture of a lovely looking lady holding a lime; the typical style you expect from Soap & Glory products. You get 100ml of product and is £4.00 which I think is a fairly reasonable price.

My downfall with the body spray is that I don't really find it lasts at all. In my experience the smell doesn't linger on my skin for long and I'm pretty sure it is gone by half an hour. Because of this I do like to ensure I use perfume on my neck and wrists so I know I smell nice. It's nice to freshen up with as it's such a fun, sweet smell and could easily be carried around in a handbag to top up during the day but because the smell doesn't last whatsoever I won't be repurchasing this. I don't expect major long lasting power from body sprays but I do expect them to actually make me smell nice after the process of spraying it!

Do you love or hate the Sugar Crush scent?

Superdrug Flirty Exotic Fruits and White Chocolate Body Spray

For Christmas I had asked for body sprays and perfumes because I was running seriously low on them and needed to stock up. I don't know about you, but I feel anxious going out without any on! One of the sprays I received was the Superdrug 'Flirty Exotic Fruits & White Chocolate' body spray. Quite frankly I don't know what is so flirty about spray but I gave it ago nevertheless.

There are pros and cons to this body spray. One pro is that it does smell really nice! I'm not so sure about the 'exotic fruits' but the white chocolate really comes through in the smell which even my boyfriend noticed. I certainly don't mind smelling of chocolate! Another pro is the price: £1.29, but currently at sale price of 63p! So if you are someone who is on a budget this is definitely handy.

However, a big con is that the smell doesn't last very long. It probably lasts about an hour if that, which certainly doesn't make it a long lasting body spray. To keep up the smell you would have to reapply regularly throughout the day which won't help it last a long time. It lasted about a month for me but would have lasted a much less amount of time had I taken it out with me and reapplied throughout the day.

For the cheap price tag and the fact that it is Superdrug's own brand and not a company specified in the field of body sprays, to be honest I wasn't expecting amazing results anyway. If you're looking for something that'll last you'll most likely have to go for a slightly higher price point. But overall if you're on a budget and need something to just carry around with you then this would be an option to consider.

What body sprays do you use?

Empties #1

Hello!

So this is my first empties post! It seemed I was finishing these products all at the same time so it seemed silly not to make a post out of it!

1) Impulse Very Pink- Smells a lovely smell that I can't quite put my finger on. It's a shame Impulse body sprays never last that long!
2) Natural Collection Green Skin Corrector Stick- I go through these like nobody's business! I use these underneath every make up look to cancel out redness (my skin has a lot of it) and it works a treat!
3) The Body Shop Tea Tree Squeaky-Clean Scrub- I have been using this facial scrub in the shower twice a week since Christmas and I have only just finished it! A lovely scrub for those of you with blemished skin and acne like me!
4) Lush Happy Hippy Shower Gel- I absolutely love this shower gel and I am sad I have finished it! To see my review of it, click here.

That's my first empties post! Do you use any of these products? What product have you finished? Let me know!

Boots Haul!

Hello BumbleBeas!

Seeing as it was my birthday last week I received some birthday money. Of course I was going to go shopping! I didn't actually get much as most of the things I want you can only get online but I picked up a few things.

1. Impulse body spray: Vanilla & Peach

I was originally going to get a Natural Collection body spray as I love them but I saw the Impulse ones were on a major sale so I couldn't resist. Vanilla & Peach sounds very nice to me!

2. Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Dark Spot Corrector

I used this last year until I finished it and I felt it made an improvement to face so I decided to buy it again. I don't want to say too much as I am definitely going to write up a review of this soon but let me say if you're looking for products to treat either dark spots, age spots, post-acne scars (like me!) or sun damage on your face then you don't want to miss my review!

3. Revlon Colour Burst Matte Lip Crayon: Shameless

I have wanted this for so long you have no idea! I already have one of these lip crayons so will be doing a full review on them soon but this is a lovely deep purple colour and I adore it! Review coming soon!

4. Benefit Gimme Brow!

I don't normally buy myself more expensive make up brands but I have always admired Benefit. I decided I may as well treat myself to something from Benefit as it was with birthday money so I ended up getting this coloured brow gel. I will be writing up a review soon!

So that's it! Have you used any of these products? What do you think? Let me know!
